Multimedia Lab



The Mutlimedia Lab is dedicated to teaching and training all range of students in the trends of multimedia technologies. This includes the necessary skills to use hardware and software to create interactive CD-ROMs, design World Wide Web pages, create presentations, and compile digital & printed senior portfolios. The Multimedia Lab along with the rest of the computer classrooms and facilities are available for your use while completing your degree program at Medaille College. If you're interested in a career incorporating multimedia, look into our newly established Interactive Multimedia Certificate program.

In addition, the Multimedia Lab provides the use of 10 state-of-the art Macintosh computers with superdrives (CD-Rom/DVD), ViewSonic 17" 32bit color monitors with high end internal speakers, audiovisual capabilities, flat bed scanner, Nikon film/slide scanner, black and white laser printer, color laser jet printer, graphic tablets, digital still cameras, recordable CD-ROM burner and T1 Internet access. This facility also provides all the necessary software to create video presentations, computer animation, 3D rendering, image and sound manipulation.

For the creation of World Wide Web pages, the Multimedia Lab provides access to the latest versions of the following browsers: Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and America Online.
