Overview
The view on architecture is that it is at a turnaround. More people are acknowledging the fact that architecture plays an enormous role; surroundings affect daily moods. There once was a Buffalo of pride and confidence. Sports arenas, schools, small businesses complimented communities rather than struggling to support them. As time progresses, architecture should too. If we can remember why we were at our highest population, we can recreate our city.
Higher Education
Buffalo’s higher education programs have proven to be effective.
So what’s the problem? People want to get away. It has been observed that people who get their education in Buffalo usually leave after receiving their diplomas. The problem lies in the simple fact that Buffalo isn’t as attractive as it was maybe 20 years ago; not a place young creative minds want to stay. An example of an institution taking note of their surroundings is the largest in the area, University of New York at Buffalo.
