On-Campus Computing

On-Campus Computing

Medaille College offers a multitude of on-campus computing opportunities to its students, faculty, staff and alumni. Whether you are on the Buffalo campus or the Rochester campus you should be able to find a PC to use or to receive assistance in configuring your own laptop for wireless Internet connectivity.

There are Academic Computing Centers (ACC) on each campus that provide PCs running the most recent version of Microsoft's Windows 10 Pro operating system and its Office 2016 Pro suite of software that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access.
Adobe Reader along with ActiveX add-ins for Flash and Shockwave are standard on all of our "public access" and classroom machines which also contain a variety of course-specific software applications.

All ACC computers are kept current with Microsoft operating system and Office suite updates, as are the Adobe products; and all machines are protected from viruses, malware and spyware by Symantec's Endpoint Protection enterprise solution.
